12th annual School Resource Officers’ Lone Star Rodeo

Dust off your cowboy and cowgirl hats and boots at the 12th annual School Resource Officers’ Lone Star Rodeo March 3-4.

The Lone Star Rodeo Company rides in with the Great American Tour of barrel racing and bull riding at Miller Coliseum across from Siegel High School at 304 W. Thompson Lane. Gates open at 6 p.m. with the show starting at 7:30 p.m.

SRO Sgt. Bill West said tickets go on sale Tuesday. Advance tickets are $8 for children ages 5 to 12 and $10 for adults. Children age 4 and under are free. Tickets at the door are $10 for children and $15 for adults.

SROs will sell tickets at all county schools. Tickets will also be sold between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office at 940 New Salem Highway in Murfreesboro.

“The 12th annual rodeo has become a family favorite for children and parents,” West said. “The rodeo helps raise funds for SRO programs as well as ensure we have a rodeo performance for special needs students from kindergarten through 12th grade from city and county schools Friday morning.”
