City Schools Foundation Back to School 5K/10K Dash

The City Schools Foundation will kick off the 2017-18 school year with a 5K/10K run on September 16, 2017. The run will begin and end at Overall Creek Elementary following a relatively flat terrain on Veteran’s Parkway and Mooreland Drive.

Early bird registration is $30 for the 5K and $35 for the 10k until August 31. Online registration ends September 14.

The course is a USATF Certified Course and pre-registration includes a timing chip, race bib and t-shirt.  Race participants will run from Overall Creek to Veterans Parkway, turn on Veterans and return via Mooreland Drive. Racers will face an uphill grade on parts of the course.  For safety reasons no wheeled devices, strollers, or pets are allowed on the course.

Awards will be given for first place male and female winners per age division and based on the standard USATF shotgun start. Age division categories range from elementary through 60 plus.

Packet pickup and pre-registration will be available September 14, from 8 a.m. – noon at MCS District Office and on Friday, September 15 from noon until 5 p.m. at City Tile and Floor Covering near downtown Murfreesboro. Online registration ends on Thursday, September 14.
