Meet The Deputy

Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies would like to meet residents who live in the zones they protect, the sheriff’s patrol major said.

“We want to get to know the residents we protect and serve and hope you want to know us as well,” said Maj. Steve Spence.

Residents who wish to meet deputies who work in their neighborhoods during the day or evening are asked to call Spence at 615-904-3062.

When deputies get time during the shift, they will drop by the citizen’s residence to visit. They will answer questions and share information about themselves and their job.

“We hope to build better relationships between the residents and our deputies through these home visits,” Spence said.
