Rutherford County to Provide Free Gift Wrapping Event Using Recyclable Materials

The Rutherford County Solid Waste Department will be providing a free gift wrapping event on the Murfreesboro Square. Gifts will be wrapped for free, in recyclable material, to help spread the word about the impending Landfill closure in Middle Tennessee.

The free gift wrapping station will be location outside of the Rutherford County Courthouse on the Murfreesboro Square on December 16th from 12:00pm to 4:00pm.

Solid Waste Director, Mac Nolen states “The holidays are the busiest time of the year for the solid waste department. To help spread the word about our impending landfill closure, we will be providing free gift wrapping services with items like newspapers and cardboard. These items can later be recycled, unlike conventional giftwrapping paper.“

The Main Street organization will be providing a meet-and-greet with Santa inside of the courthouse during this event.

The Murfreesboro Post will be sponsoring the event along with Operation: Rutherford Recycles.
