Students return to class after faulty valve repaired in science lab

Students at Blackman High School returned to class early Wednesday afternoon after a brief evacuation.

Officials said a faulty valve in a science lab caused the evacuation and it has since been repaired.

James Evans with Rutherford County Schools said all students are safe and the evacuation was a precaution.

Parents were notified of the incident.

Additional information was not released.
