15 RCS schools recognized as statewide leaders in intervention

Schools to serve as behavioral models across Middle Tennessee

Fifteen schools from across Rutherford County have been recognized by Tennessee Tiered Supports Center (TSC) at Vanderbilt University for their success and implementation of Response to Instruction (RTI) as well as Interventions for Behavior.

A behavioral systems framework has been implemented at all the schools as a result of training and technical assistant. RTI framework involves teaching and reinforcing, as well as acknowledging, behavioral expectations from families and faculty across a school.

There are two tiers of achievement, bronze and silver, which indicate which practices are being met, with Tier 2 meeting both bronze and silver level criteria.
