For one Saturday, Lucky Ladd Farms in Eagleville hands the controls over to the kids. Real excavators, big equipment up close, simulators and hands-on activities built for children who point at every construction site you drive past.
This one carries a hard requirement that catches families out: an advance reservation is required by September 3, so it is not a day you can decide on that morning. Book ahead.
The farm's regular attractions run alongside it, so the petting farm, pony rides and play areas are all part of the visit.
