Author Jody Eddy and Food Network Chef Maneet Chauhan Will Keynote on This Topic: Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained
Author Jody Eddy and Food Network Chef Maneet Chauhan will speak at the RUTHERFORD Cable monthly breakfast meeting Tues., Nov. 14 from 7:15 a.m. until 9 a.m.
From being female in the male-dominated field restaurant and cooking field, and the only Indian in her
program at the Culinary Institute of America, Chef Chauhan wants to encourage other women. Her peers
thought she was just pursuing a hobby, but her family was supportive. They told her, “Do what you want,
just make sure that you excel in it, you are the best at it,” and that’s the mantra she still follows today.
Author Jody Eddy and Chef Chauhan have been working on a cook book profiling the cuisine of India.
Eddy says, “There is no easier way to open a door to a new friendship, understand a new place, or ignite a
fresh dream than to share a meal together.”
The monthly meeting is at Stones River Country Club, 1830 N.W. Broad St. in Murfreesboro.
RUTHERFORD Cable members and guests are welcome, and the public is invited to attend. The cost for
this meeting is $20 for members and $25 for non-members and includes breakfast. Reservations are
available online at rutherfordcable.org and must be completed by Noon Friday, Nov. 10. A limited number
of seats will be available for walk-ups on a first-come, first-serve basis with an additional $5 late-registration fee.
