Bailey Zimmerman and Waka Flocka Flame Headlined Concert Series Is Bringing Serious Heat to Murfreesboro

New Live in the Boro Concert Series opens with the Superstar Baily Zimmerman
Murfreesboro is officially staking its claim on Middle Tennessee’s live music crown. Middle Tennessee State University Athletics and Nashville-based entertainment outfit NVRDUL Events have announced the launch of Live in the Boro, an ambitious new public-private partnership built to transform the MTSU campus into a full-throttle concert destination.
A Genre-Bending Homecoming Launch
The series makes its debut during MTSU’s Homecoming week on Thursday, November 5, and the inaugural lineup is an absolute shockwave. Multi-platinum country hitmaker Bailey Zimmerman—famous for his raucous, high-octane live shows and multi-platinum anthem “Rock and a Hard Place”—will headline the iconic Murphy Center.
In a genre-blurring move that guarantees an electric room, the night also features hip-hop heavyweight Waka Flocka Flame, rising country outfit Miller Holler, and crowd-pumping DJ/producer Dee Jay Silver.
The Bigger Vision for the Boro
This isn't just a single night of noise; it's the start of a long-term venue takeover. MTSU and NVRDUL Events plan to pack both the Murphy Center and Floyd Stadium with marquee acts throughout the academic year, bringing massive commercial energy to Rutherford County. With extensive facility renovations slated to begin in 2027, the historic 53-year-old “Glass House” is being primed to offer fans an intimate, high-impact arena concert experience.
