Bellhops Looking to Add 2,000 to Gig-Economy

Every mid-March, Bellhops Moving looks for new movers and drivers to join its digital moving platform. This year, starting on March 27, Bellhops Moving aims to add 2000+ new movers and drivers to its digital platform in 22 of their cities, around 100 new people in each city.

“This is one of the best gig-economy jobs in the nation,” said Bellhops COO Peter Hsu. “Our goal is to provide a legendary service and to do that we are looking for the best of the best to join our platform.”

Movers and drivers can apply to work on the Bellhops Moving platform by visiting the company’s website. Once an applicant qualifies, he or she downloads the Bellhops app (for iOS or Android) and enters the times they would like to work.

The Bellhops app seamlessly matches customers with its community of local workers (bellhops) and professional drivers—within time frames as short as 24 hours in advance of a move. Once the customer is matched with bellhops, the app streamlines the moving process by managing the majority of logistical details from start to finish.

The company says that movers on average make around $21 an hour and professional drivers make around $125 a move.

“My experience with Bellhops has been amazing,” said Kesean Henderson, a mover on the Bellhops platform. “Being able to meet different customers and not only help them on an extremely stressful day but also provide a service that allows us to get to know each other on a personal basis, in only a few hours, has been a joy to be a part of. Bellhops is truly one-of-a-kind.”

Currently, Bellhops offers full-service moves in 22 cities. See the full list of service areas here: https://www.getbellhops.com/locations/
