Buc-ee’s Murfreesboro Update: Giant Sign Approved and Opening Timeline

Buc-ee’s in Murfreesboro is moving fast, and we have a new update.

City Council approved Buc-ee’s request for a larger sign along I-24, even though it exceeds the city’s usual sign restrictions. Once it goes up, we’ll be back out there to show it off.

The new Buc-ee’s is being built off I-24 at Joe B. Jackson Parkway and will be a 74,000-square-foot location with 120 gas pumps. The only thing this location will not have is a car wash.

Corporate is currently saying the Murfreesboro Buc-ee’s is expected to open in December, though the owner previously mentioned November. Either way, crews are moving fast.

The location is also expected to bring in more than 5 million visitors annually, with an average ticket around $100. That could mean roughly $7 million in tax revenue split between the City of Murfreesboro and Rutherford County.
