Buona Beef & Rainbow Cone Grand Opening Set for September 16 in Murfreesboro
Big things are coming to Murfreesboro! The highly anticipated Buona Beef and Original Rainbow Cone location is set to open with a huge grand opening celebration on Tuesday, September 16 at 10:30am and it’s going to be one to remember!
This exciting dual-concept restaurant, located at 2724 Robbie Corlew Lane in Clari Park, will serve up Chicago-style Italian beef sandwiches and colorful, stacked Rainbow Cones under one roof. Though they’re separate brands, both are family-owned, with Rainbow Cone dating back to 1926 and Buona Beef to 1981. Now, they’re coming together to bring a little Windy City flavor to Middle Tennessee all while doing it sustainably, too. The building is going green with rooftop and exterior solar panels powering much of the operation.
Here’s what to expect on opening day:
- First 500 guests will receive a special prize – anything from t-shirts to gift cards.
- 100 lucky winners will score one free sandwich a week for a year.
The restaurant will feature fast casual vibes with dine-in, double drive-thru, or order ahead through the Bona app options. The expanded menu features Italian beef, burgers, chicken tenders, hot dogs, fresh salads, and desserts including ice cream cakes and mini donuts from Rainbow Cone. A full catering and takeout program with packaged beef and gravy ready to go is also available.
The team is also promising southern staples like sweet tea and will be open late-night hours until 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays for those late cravings.
Still under construction during the sneak peek tour, the massive kitchen and thoughtful layout show they’re preparing for big crowds and fast service. With a huge to-go section, self-serve kiosks, and delivery options via third-party apps, this spot is built for convenience without skimping on flavor.
