Carnival Returns to La Vergne for 50th Anniversary Celebration

The City of La Vergne is excited to host a carnival at Veterans Memorial Park in August as a part of the City’s 50th Anniversary celebration. Crescent City Amusements will be set up at the park at 115 Floyd Mayfield Drive from August 25 through August 27. The carnival will be open from 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and from noon – 10:00 p.m. on Saturday.

The carnival will have classic foods like hot dogs, funnel cakes, cheese curds, candied apples, and fresh squeezed lemonade. They will also bring all their functional and available midway rides like the carousel, Ferris wheel, tilt-a-whirl, and swing.

In honor of the City’s 50th Anniversary, the city will provide vouchers for 250 armbands to citizens before the event. Each armband is good for four (4) hours of unlimited rides at the carnival.

The arm bands will be distributed through raffle selection. Up to five (5) vouchers can be claimed per household, and only one entry will be accepted per address. If multiple entries are made, only the first entry will be included in the raffle. La Vergne residents will be given priority. All raffle winners must show a valid state ID with a matching La Vergne address to pick up their vouchers. Must be 18 or older to enter.

Entries can be submitted by visiting this link. The deadline to enter the raffle is Friday, August 12. Notifications to winners will be made via email on Wednesday, August 17.

Winners can pick up their vouchers at La Vergne City Hall, 5093 Murfreesboro Road, from Tuesday, August 23 through Friday, August 26, from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Armbands will still be available for purchase at the carnival for $20.
