Carry the Load to Make a Stop in La Vergne Saturday
A non-profit organization that aims to help people celebrate Memorial Day is making a stop in La Vergne this year.
Everyone is invited to join ‘Carry the Load’ for a community fellowship and a show of support for our veterans, service members and first responders. The rally in La Vergne on May 20 will begin around 6:00 p.m. at La Vergne City Hall, 5093 Murfreesboro Road, La Vergne, TN 37086. Interested participants are encouraged to meet at the La Vergne Post Office on Murfreesboro Road at 4:15pm. To register a team go to the Carry the Load website: www.carrytheload.org.
‘Carry the Load’ makes stops in cities along a 2,000 mile cross-country route and has a mission to unite Americans in a walk to honor those who have fallen – veterans, law enforcement, fire fighters, rescue, citizens and volunteers – to “carry the load” for those who have and those who can no longer.
