City Construction Projects for August 5 through August 11

Middle Tennessee Widening Project (Greenland Dr to E. Main St) (Est Substantial Completion August 2018)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday: Traffic on Middle Tennessee Blvd is reduced to two-lanes two-way between Bell St and Greenland Dr. E Lytle St is closed at Middle Tennessee Blvd. The section of E Lytle St between N Bilbro Ave and Middle Tennessee Blvd is only open to local traffic. Median construction and traffic signal work continues between Bell St and Greenland Dr. Faulkinberry Dr is still completely closed at Middle Tennessee Blvd. There will be lane shifts and minor traffic interruptions on Greenland Dr on the west side of Middle Tennessee Blvd. Appropriate traffic control will be in place.

W Lytle Street Roadway Improvement Project (Baker St to Church St) (Est Substantial Completion August 2018)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday: W Lytle St will be closed between the Barker St and Front St and between Front St and Walnut St. The intersection of Front St and Lytle St will be kept open. Traffic will be detoured onto W College St. Access driveways to local businesses will be kept open. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Turn Lane Improvement Project (Rutherford Blvd at Haven Dr)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm: Contractor of a private development will be doing turn lane improvements on Rutherford Blvd at Haven Dr. There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions during the milling process. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Fiber Optic Installation Work (Old Fort Pkwy between Veterans Pkwy and I-24)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm: Private Utility Company will be installing aerial fiber optic lines along Old Fort Pkwy between Veterans Pkwy and I-24. Eastbound shoulder and right turn lanes along Old Fort Pkwy will be closed. The eastbound through lanes and westbound traffic will not be affected. Appropriate traffic control will be in place.

Bradyville Pike Turn Lane Improvement Project (just south of Medford Campbell Blvd)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm: Contractors for private developments will installing turn lanes on Bradyville Pike just south of Medford Campbell Blvd. Traffic on Bradyville Pike will be reduced to one-lane flagging operation. There will be lane shifts and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
