City Construction Projects for July 1 through July 7

Middle Tennessee Widening Project (Greenland Dr to E Main St) (Est Substantial Completion August 2018)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday: Traffic on Middle Tennessee Blvd is reduced to two-lanes two-way between Bell St and Greenland Dr. E Lytle St is closed at Middle Tennessee Blvd. The section of E Lytle St between N Bilbro Ave and Middle Tennessee Blvd is only open to local traffic. Median construction and traffic signal work continues between Bell St and Greenland Dr. Faulkinberry Dr will be completely closed at Middle Tennessee Blvd. East side of Bell St will also be closed for construction work. Sunday, June 17 and Monday, June 18, between 8:00 pm and 5:00 am, there will be utility crossing work at the intersection of Middle Tennessee Blvd and Greenland Dr. There will be traffic shifts and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic control will be in place.

Rutherford County Judicial Center Project (between Burton St and Lytle St)

Expected Lane Closures: Incidental traffic signal, landscaping and construction work continues. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.

W Lytle Street Roadway Improvement Project (Baker St to Church St) (Est Substantial Completion August 2018)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday: W Lytle St will be closed between the roundabout and Barker St. Traffic will be detoured onto W College St. Access driveways to local businesses will be kept open. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Crown Castle Fiber Project (Bridge Ave just south of Old Fort Pkwy and Old Fort Pkwy at New Salem Hwy)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm: There will be lane closures on Old Fort Pkwy at New Salem Hwy, W Main St at NW Broad St and NW Broad St at Memorial Blvd for fiber installation work. Appropriate traffic control will be in place.

Turn Lane Improvement Project (Bradyville Pike just south of Medford Campbell Blvd)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm: Contractor of a private development will be doing turn lane improvements on Bradyville Pike just south of Medford Campbell Blvd. Traffic on Bradyville Pike will be reduced to one-lane flagging operation. Access driveways to residents will be kept open. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place

Asphalt Repairs at Fortress Blvd and Maya Dr

Expected Lane Closures: Friday, 8:30 am to 3:00 pm: Contractor of a private development will be doing asphalt repair work on Fortress Blvd at Maya Dr. Traffic on Fortress Blvd will be reduced from two lanes to one lane each approach. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place

Annual City Street Paving Project

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM: City contractors will be doing roadway improvements on the following streets:
1. Haynes Dr at Regenwood Dr
2. Thistle Downs Subdivision – Lightning Bug and Butterfly Bend
Expect lane shifts and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
