City Construction Projects for June 17 through June 23

Middle Tennessee Widening Project (Greenland Dr to E Main St) (Est Substantial Completion August 2018)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday: Traffic on Middle Tennessee Blvd is reduced to two-lanes two-way between Bell St and Greenland Dr. E Lytle St is closed at Middle Tennessee Blvd. The section of E Lytle St between N Bilbro Ave and Middle Tennessee Blvd is only open to local traffic. Median construction and traffic signal work continues between Bell St and Greenland Dr. Faulkinberry Dr will be closed at Middle Tennessee Blvd (right turns only). Appropriate traffic control will be in place.

Rutherford County Judicial Center Project (between Burton St and Lytle St) (Est Substantial Completion June, 2018)

Expected Lane Closures: Wednesday, July 20, 2016 – June 30, 2018: Incidental traffic signal, landscaping and construction work continues. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.

W Lytle Street Roadway Improvement Project (Baker St to Church St) (Est Substantial Completion August 2018)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday: W Lytle St will be closed between the roundabout and Barker St. Traffic will be detoured onto W College St. Access driveways to local businesses will be kept open. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Crown Castle Fiber Project (Mall Circle Dr/Frontage Rd just north of Old Fort Pkwy)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday: There will be lane closures on Mall Circle Dr, N Frontage Rd and Stones River Mall Dr for fiber installation work. Traffic will be reduced from two lanes to one lane. Northbound traffic will not be affected. Appropriate traffic control will be in place.

City Urban Environmental Department Tree Maintenance and Removal Work (Elam Rd at Ambergate Dr)

Expected Lane Closures: Tuesday, Weather Permitting, 8:30 am to 11:00 am: City Urban Environmental department crews will be removing trees along Elam Road just south of Ambergate Dr. Traffic will be reduced to one lane operation on Elam Rd. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Annual City Street Paving Project

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM: City contractors will be milling, paving and striping on the following streets:
1. Haynes Dr at Regenwood Dr
2. Thistle Downs Subdivision – Lightning Bug and Butterfly Bend
3. Three Rivers Subdivision – Cason Lane between Eldon Springs and Veterans Pkwy (sidewalk/handicap repairs)
Expect lane shifts and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
