City Offices and Facilities Closing January 1 for New Year’s Day Holiday

In observance of the New Year’s Day holiday, Murfreesboro offices and some recreational facilities will be closed Monday, January 1, 2018.

All Parks and Recreation facilities, including Sports*Com, Patterson Park Community Center, McFadden Community Center, Wilderness Station, Cannonsburgh Village, Adams Tennis Complex, and Bradley Academy will be closed New Year’s Day.

The Parks & Recreation Main Office, Cannonsburgh Village and Bradley Academy will also be closed Monday, January 1, 2018. All other Parks facilities will be open regular hours.

Adams Tennis Complex will be open regular hours Saturday, December 30. On Sunday, Dec. 31, the complex will be open from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Adams Complex is closed New Year’s Day.

Old Fort and VA Golf Courses will be closed on New Year’s Day Monday, January 1, 2018.

There will be no garbage pick-up on Monday, January 1, 2018Monday’s scheduled garbage pick-up will be moved to Tuesday, January 2Tuesday’s garbage pick-up will be moving to Wednesday, January 3.

Rover, the City’s public transportation service, will not run January 1, 2018.

The St. Clair Street Senior Center will also be closed Monday, January 1, 2018.

City business offices will resume their regular hours of operation, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., on Tuesday, January 2, 2018.
