MCS Schools Receive Reward School Status

The Tennessee Department of Education has named three Murfreesboro City Schools (MCS) as Tennessee Reward Schools, the state’s highest honor for academic achievement and student growth.

Discovery School, Bradley Academy, and Salem Elementary earned this distinction for their exceptional performance in improving overall student achievement and growth for all learners.

“This recognition reflects the dedication of our teachers, staff, and administrators to ensuring every child has a pathway to success,” said Dr. Trey Duke, Director of Murfreesboro City Schools. “Our team remains committed to protecting instructional time and focusing on student-centered learning.”

Additionally, Mitchell-Neilson, Bradley Academy and Reeves-Rogers were recently recognized as Level 5 schools, the highest rating for specifically academic growth in Tennessee. These achievements highlight the district’s ongoing commitment to excellence and student success.
