City’s Public Works annual Fall Leaf Collection begins Oct. 13

Murfreesboro Fall Leaf Collection Begins October 13
The City of Murfreesboro’s annual Fall Leaf Collection season runs from October 13, 2025, through January 31, 2026. During this peak period, residents can place loose leaves curbside for pickup. Crews aim to complete collection citywide twice as fast by teaming up, with the Street Department serving areas north and east of Broad Street, and the Solid Waste Department handling the south and west sides.
Residents are reminded to keep leaves separate from limbs and other debris, avoid blocking storm drains or placing piles near mailboxes, fences, or vehicles, and not dump leaves on vacant properties.
For those who prefer to bag leaves, only biodegradable paper bags are accepted. Collected leaves are taken to the city’s mulch site on Florence Road.
Drop-off Option: Yard Waste Collection & Mulching Facility, 4735 Florence Rd (Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.)
