Community Development Department Issues Notice of Funding Availability

The City of Murfreesboro anticipates receiving funding for the fiscal year July 1, 2019 – June 30, 2020 from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and Tennessee Housing and Development Agency. Grant Amounts are estimated on prior year awards. Public Service Grants are available to eligible non-profit agencies and government agencies. Public Hearings will be held for the Annual Action Plan process.

Funding will come from The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) from the U. S. Department of Housing Urban Development (HUD) and The Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) from the Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA).

Qualified nonprofit agencies (applicant organizations must have 501(c)3 tax-exempt status) and government agencies are invited to apply for competitive grants available through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA). The City invites the public to learn about its Community Development activities and provide feedback for the development of the 2019-20 Annual Action Plan. Two Public Hearings will be held in the process of developing the Annual Action Plan.
