Community Festival Hosted to Drive Awareness for Local Shelter Pets in Need

Rutherford County PAWS, “DOG GONE ADOPTION EVENT”

Rutherford County PAWS plans to host a Western Style Rodeo themed throw down adoption event with several local businesses in hopes to bring joy to the community, along with several shelter pets in need of homes. “Dog Gone Adoption Event” will be hosted at PAWS on Saturday, April 15th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Dust off your boots and grab your hats to join PAWS, along with several local businesses and food truck vendors for a Western Style Rodeo themed event including FREE face painting, games, photo booth, giveaways and more. Local clothing store, Hot Topic will be sending gift baskets home with the first 3 dog adoptions along with the first 2 cat adoptions!

PAWS will be drawing for “best dressed” to those who enter the costume contest at 1:00 p.m. for a chance to win the GRAND PRIZE valued at $1,000. To enter, you must be present at the costume contest table at 1:00 p.m. for staff members to begin judging. The winner will be hand-picked from a jar of the top 5 best dressed, picked by PAWS staff.

PAWS staff member Deby has other plans for the event. “Being new to PAWS as one of the administrative assistants, I was ecstatic and honored to offer my face as a pie celebration for each animal adopted during this very special event. I have come to value all the animals we have and would love to see all of them find a home, especially on that day. Families who adopt a pet will have the opportunity to cover my face with a special cream pie in honor of the animals finding their forever home. I can’t wait to see our shelter completely free of adoptees by the end of the day, so come on down and celebrate with us during our Western Dog-Gone event. Looking forward to it” – PAWS staff member Deby Klein.

PAWS will be providing FREE popcorn and water to all community members who attend. Approved applicants who adopt from PAWS receive a courtesy bag of Hill’s Science Diet pet food and an adoption package with special pet offers, pet parenting tips and info. All available animals are already spayed or neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations.
