District 6 Commissioner Jonathan Beverly Announces Re-Election Campaign For Rutherford County Commission

County Commissioner Jonathan Beverly announced today that he will run for re-election for Rutherford County Commissioner, District 6 in 2026 to continue working to improve Rutherford County’s infrastructure, support our public schools, and equip our first responders.

“I’ve spent this last Commission term working to promote transparency, increase constituent communication, and improve our public safety plan. I’m excited to continue to serve the people of District 6 on the Rutherford County Commission,” said Beverly.

“I bring a desire to be a part of a sensible government, accountable to the community. I act with integrity, where I make decisions I can stand with in front of my God, my family, and my fellow citizens. I’m looking
forward to showing the people of District 6 why they should elect, or rather I say hire, me for another term.”

Beverly understands that infrastructure is the backbone of Rutherford County and the county must prioritize infrastructure. To set Rutherford County up for continued success, Rutherford County must build a well insulated & diverse economy in case of economic downturn. “I will continue to work closely with our state delegation, local municipalities, Chamber of Commerce, and Rutherford County Industrial
Development Board to attract new businesses,” he said.

Most importantly, Beverly is married to Amanda and has two young boys: William and James. He started his career with the Smyrna Police Department in 2013 and is currently a Field Training Officer and Hostage Negotiator for the department. Additionally, Beverly was appointed to the Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Commission by Governor Lee in May of 2023; in January of 2025 he was elected by his fellow committee members as Chairman of the POST Commission.

Beverly is a past member of the North Rutherford YMCA Board of Directors, past President of the Stones River Fraternal Order of Police, and current Board Member of the Boys and Girls Club of Rutherford County. He is a graduate of Smyrna High School, Middle Tennessee State University, and Bethel University. Beverly is a current member of the Smyrna Rotary Club.
