One Week, a Square Full of Kitchens: Downtown Murfreesboro’s Restaurant Week Returns Oct. 5-11

For one week this month, the best dinner reservation in Murfreesboro is the one you make on purpose. Main Street Murfreesboro lists Restaurant Week for Oct. 5-11, 2026, a seven-day push to put downtown's dining rooms, patios and kitchens at the center of everyone's plans. The Main Street calendar starts it on Monday, Oct. 5.

What is confirmed, and what is not

The dates are firm. The exact lineup and any special menus for this fall edition were not published at the time of writing, so treat the details below as a guide to the format rather than a promise. The organization's spring Restaurant Week, held March 2-8, drew more than 20 downtown restaurants, and it is the best indicator of the scale to expect.

How the spring version worked

The spring week came with a bingo card. Diners downloaded it, marked squares as they ate at participating restaurants, and could earn an entry into a drawing for a Downtown Murfreesboro gift card by completing five in a row and sending proof to the organizers. If the fall week borrows the idea, it turns a standard week of lunches into a small scavenger hunt, which is a genuinely good excuse to try the place you keep walking past.

Planning your week

A few easy ways to make the most of it:

  • Go midweek. Weekend tables on the Square fill first; Tuesday and Wednesday nights are usually the easiest bets.
  • Mix the meals. A lunch counter, a coffee stop and one proper dinner will stretch a week further than seven dinners.
  • Check each restaurant's own channels for special menus before you go, since participation details come from the restaurants themselves.

The week also lands alongside other downtown happenings. Friday Night Live returns to the Square with a make-up show on Oct. 16, and Lunch on the Plaza follows the same day. Looking for the next big thing in local dining? The Curious Kitchen's planned move to East Compton Road is one to watch, and our fall color guide pairs nicely with a post-dinner stroll.
