Free‘Boro International Festival
An incredible community event will be taking place Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 11:00 am-4:00 pm at the Cannonsburgh Village in Murfreesboro, TN. ‘Boro International is an international cultural festival sponsored by Murfreesboro City Schools in partnership with Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU), the Confucius Institute and Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation.
In its third year ‘Boro International began as a group of like-minded individuals who came together with the hopes of establishing a community wide cultural celebration.
Diversity creates opportunities for growth and experiences that are not necessarily part of our everyday world. We all have a culture to share and in sharing with others we broaden our horizons and promote solidarity.
The festival includes the foods, crafts, and entertainment of an array of cultures and countries represented in Middle Tennessee. For a detailed schedule please see https://www.facebook.com/events/229560177740488/
A children’s game area will give children the opportunity to play a variety of games from several countries as well as make a few crafts that represent those cultures.
The Festival will feature cultural exhibit booths from an array of countries represented within the Murfreesboro and Rutherford County area. Along with the cultural exhibits, craft vendors will be offering homemade products for sale.
Come share the excitement with us. Be part of the 2018 ‘Boro International Festival!
