In response to the white supremacist rallies happening in Murfreesboro and Shelbyville on October 28th:
There will be a “Field Trip for Families” to the Children’s Holocaust Memorial in Whitwell, TN, from 10-11:30 AM on October 28th to #EducateAgainstHate.
This world-renowned memorial project, which began in 1998, quickly became a treasure of Tennessee and source of great pride for the 4th district, having inspired the award-winning film Paperclips. For those who are unable to join the memorial on this day, please watch this film, Paperclips, to encourage thought and dialogue, particularly on how fellow human beings were able to create such hate and suffering and how we as a nation can work to civilly dismantle those forces today.
Nelson Mandela championed that “education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
Steven Reynolds for US Congress will be arranging car pools in Rutherford and Bedford County for any interested attendees. The Children’s Holocaust Memorial is free to the public. #educateagainsthate
