Inaugural Rutherford County Veterans Day Parade
Rutherford County holds its first-ever Veterans Day Parade this fall, and the whole community is invited. The inaugural Rutherford County Veterans Day Parade
steps off at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2026 in downtown Murfreesboro.
The parade begins near the intersection of Main Street and Baird Lane and
proceeds toward the historic Public Square. Afterward the celebration continues at
City Plaza downtown, with the presentation of the Veteran of the
Year, live music, food trucks and additional activities.
The parade is hosted by Minutes Wisely, a nonprofit that creates meaningful
experiences for veterans, first responders and Gold Star families and works to raise awareness of
veteran suicide prevention, with support from the Rutherford County Veteran Coalition.
Planning is being led by Charlie Eblen, a veteran and the owner of Single Tree BBQ.

them that their service is remembered, their sacrifices matter and they will always have a place of

Organizers are still signing up participants and sponsors. A standard decorated float entry is
$100, with sponsorship tiers from $500 (Meritorious) up to $20,000 and above (Medal of Honor,
which carries “Presented By” recognition and lead float placement behind the Grand
Marshal). Registration details, participation guidelines and updates are posted to the official
site as they are confirmed.
