Jig Head Brewery Tap Takeover

Jig Head Brewery is out of Cookeville, TN. They focus on crafting beers that represent a wide variety of styles, while still making a highly approachable selection of beers that have more character than the mass-produced beer. Even though they are a new brewery, they are already making their brewery well know with their constant brews.

We will be featuring 4 of their beers including 2 of their newest brew:

• 48 Fathom Porter is rich in malt character, smooth bold chocolate aromas with hints of toast and coffee. The medium body and creamy mouthfeel are represented with the dark Munich malt that dominates but is supported by the other roasted characteristics. This is a perfect beer for this time of year and an excellent addition to their line-up.
• Skipjack Belgian Saison focus on the traditional refreshing ‘thirst-quenching” style. It is highly aromatic, with strong fruity character from the Belgian yeast. It has a restrained bitterness and mild tartness but none of the funky “barnyard” character.
• The Barrel Age Pirate Code. This is the famous Pirate Code, but aged in first use bourbon barrels five months to yield a complex Old Ale. Aging produces nutty, fruity aromas like coconut, plus intense bourbony caramel and vanilla. It is an “One-Off” Keg.
• Betty’s Island is a blonde ale with notes of honey and bread. There is a subtle aroma of floral hops. The Pilsner and Vienna malt provide a little backbone but still finishes crisp and clean.
