Join the Young Marines

The Rutherford County Young Marines are pleased to announce that we will be holding new Recruit Registration for our spring 2020.

Registration will take place on March 14. At 0900 aboard the Volunteer Training Site in Smyrna, TN. Parents will have to show their ID at the Main Gate and advise they are here for the Young Marines. New Recruits should report in Black Shorts, white t-shirt and wearing sneakers, if weather is cold grey sweats. Males should have a clean haircut and be shaven if necessary.

NO PERSONAL ELECTRONICS PERMITTED, This includes, IPOD’s Cell phones, Tablets and the like.

The following is a list of required documents that will have to be turned in at Recruit Registration. Please bring copies only.

1. Birth certificate
2. Current Health Insurance Card
3. Copy of latest School or athletic physical.
4. Parent or Guardian must know the Recruits Social Security Number for the Registration process.

Initial Registration Cost is $85.00, then $20.00 Re-registration every September after that.
Once they graduate recruit training there is an $18.00 chow fee for meals for the weekend. (Lunch both days, Supper Saturday and Breakfast Sunday)

Recruits will be spending the night aboard the Volunteer Training Site. Recruits will be picked up on Sunday at 1300 Hours at the same location where you checked in.

Parents and Guardians of new Recruits will be given a copy of the Training Schedule and the contact information for the Registered Adult Staff.

Standard gear list can be found here  The Camo Uniform will not be needed at the first couple of drills but the rest of the items will need to be brought to drill with the recruit.
