NOLA Tap Takeover

March 6, 2018 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

NOLA Brewing was started cause one guy saw that his “local” beer was brewed in Wisconsin. Kirk Coco was just drinking a Dixie beer days after Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans. It was in that moment that he realized that the once great brewing capital of the South was gone. He decided that he had to do something before it was too late. Two years later they were selling their first beers, a blonde and a brown ale. With the help of Peter Caddoo, brew master of Dixie for 30 years, they started to produce delicious beers like the ones we are going to feature for the Tap Takeover.

-7th Street Wheat: The goal with this beer is to make if light and refreshing for all of those hot summer months. This is a filtered American wheat with lemon basil added after fermentation. It is light and refreshing with citrus and herbal notes.
-Irish Channel Stout: The string espresso on the front end with a touch of bakers chocolate on the finish make for a balanced stout. The crisp bitterness produced with the American hops and roasted barley lead to a smooth, dark and rich beer.
-Prytania Imperial Porter: This is brewed in the traditional British style with reminiscent of high quality chocolate for both the color and the mild sweetness. The hop presence brings out the notes of chocolate and caramel for a rich, dark, malty flavor that mask the high ABV of 8.0%
-Hoppyright Infringment: This is a New England Double IPA. This is the trend that everyone is doing but NOLA made theirs a double to bring out the hop flavor while still making it balanced with a hazy quality that you are used too.

The event starts at 5pm with FREE swag to giveaway while supplies last. Don’t forget to grab you a pizza or burger to enjoy for dinner.

Cheers
