Read To Succeed’s 20th Annual Celebrity Spelling Bee

Twelve returning champions will take the stage for the ultimate “Battle of the Bees” at Read To Succeed’s 20th Annual Celebrity Spelling Bee on November 6 at The View at Fountains in Murfreesboro. These past winners will test their spelling skills once again to see who will claim the title of Queen or King Bee. And event tickets are now SOLD OUT!

Doors open at 5:30 p.m., dinner begins at 6:30 p.m., and the program kicks off at 7 p.m. The evening will feature our spelling competition, a Blind Book & Bottle Pulld and online auction, and food and drinks from Simply Pure Sweets, The Sweet Addiction, Cedar Glade Brews, and Julie’s Bartending.

“From the stage to the classroom, the impact is immediate,” said Jolene Radnoti, Executive Director of Read To Succeed. “The Celebrity Spelling Bee turns community generosity into free, high-quality literacy services for individuals in the county, while also getting free books into the hands and homes of families who need them most.”

In the past three months alone, Read To Succeed has distributed 5,645 books to children, adults, and teachers, provided English as a Second Language instruction to 618 adult learners, and offered one-on-one Adult Basic Education tutoring to additional learners.
