Restoration Retreat at Sinking Creek Farm

Come join us in the bucolic setting of Sinking Creek Farm on Sunday, November 3rd from 1-5pm. An afternoon of Restorative Yoga, Sound Immersion/meditation, Thai Massage, Earthing and Therapeutic Art.
Experience creekside mini, interactive demonstrations of Thai Yoga massage with Annelise Werme, LMT of Serendipity Massage & Wellness! Traditional Thai Yoga massage combines acupressure, energy balancing, breath work, fluid, gentle stretches and movements, deep compressions, and intuition to create a massage experience that addresses your aches, pains, and promotes whole body care to get at the source of your soft tissue issues.
Sherri Marshall will facilitate the restorative yoga portion of your retreat in Sinking Creek Farm’s gorgeous, open air Treehouse. Each yoga asana (pose) is held longer, allowing your muscles to relax more deeply. This practice is all about slowing down, opening the body, and releasing all your tension.
Your Sound Immersion experience will be led In the relaxing grassy field, by Patricia Tenpenny. Sound Immersion, also known as a Sound Bath or Mediation, is a form of ancient healing technology that has been resurrected for modern medicine. It has been described by many as a sonic or vibrational massage. Combined with rhythmic drumming, participants drop quickly into a deep meditative state allowing the body to engage the parasympathetic system, allowing for extreme relaxation and sometimes profound healing.
SCF’s Therapeutic Art Barn will be your Meditative Drawing area – Creating, in all its forms, can be a form of meditation, if done mindfully and with purpose. Using simple materials and methods that require no skills, done with the intention of meditation and not presentation, taking pen to paper, can be one of the most effective ways to be “in the moment.”
