Prepare a one minute song. You may sing from the show or a song in the style of the show.

Show Dates: August 11 – 27

Please bring sheet music in your key.

Please see Character Breakdown for each role. While Pirates of Penzance is considered a light opera, full operatic style is not required; enunciation is.

Prepare a monologue that can be delivered in 30 to 90 seconds. Keep in mind this show is a bit of a farce; choose accordingly. Frederic: A member of the Pirates. Youthful, genuine and innocent.

Mabel: Daughter of the Major General.

Pirate King: The leader of the pirates.

Major General: A father with many daughters.

Ruth: Frederic’s lifelong nanny.
