Explosion at Vie Apartments

At approximately 4:11 a.m. Murfreesboro Police Officers responded to reports of a possible explosion that may have been caused by some type of improvised explosive device at the Vie Apartments, 1345 Wenlon Dr.

As a result, there is minor damage to an apartment unit.

There are no reports of injuries at this time.

The area has been cordoned off and part of an apartment building has been evacuated as a precaution. Multiple agencies are on scene investigating.
