Foundation Hosts Serve it Up Doubles Tennis Tournament

The City Schools Foundation will serve up a Doubles Tennis Tournament on October 27 and 28 at Adams Tennis Complex in Murfreesboro. Players can compete in Men’s, Women’s, or Co-ed level-based doubles divisions. This tournament is open to any player 18 and over and all levels of experience with two guaranteed matches. Tournament registration is hosted through Universal Tennis (UTR) and supported by Diadem Sports.

The tennis tournament is a first for the Foundation replacing the Back to School Dash. Registration is $60 ($30 per person) for a doubles team. Registration is now open at https://bit.ly/cityschoolstennis. Format for the tournament will be two sets of six with a 10-point super breaker. Register at Universal Tennis and search for The City Schools Foundation. Co-ed doubles will be played on Friday evening with Women’s and Men’s Doubles played on Saturday.

Money raised by The City Schools Foundation benefits Murfreesboro City Schools’ Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade students. To date, the Foundation has awarded over $1.2M in parity funds and grants to teachers to enhance science, math, and other programs.
