Fourth Generation Native to Run for County Commission in District 6
Patrick Miller has formally announced his candidacy for Rutherford County Commissioner in District 6! With a passion to serve his neighbors, he says “I am proud to represent and advocate for our community. Issues that we all face in our daily lives are important to me.”
Born and raised in Christiana, Miller is a fourth generation native to his community. His parents, Neal and Carolyn Miller, have dedicated over 30 years of service as educators in Rutherford County. Miller credits his parents for instilling integrity and his work ethic to help others. In 2000, Miller began his career with Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services as an EMT. 22 years later, now a Critical Care Paramedic, he has a unique perspective of the issues the county faces.
“Our growth is currently outpacing the public safety services offered to residents. We need timely improvements to our infrastructure and schools,” Miller states. While he sees the opportunities this District has for growth, he will strive to be proactive in making updates and improvements.
The Miller family operates a successful farm where they raise beef cattle, produce hay and corn. “As a father of young twin boys, I want to ensure our community maintains its agricultural space, has sustainable infrastructure and public safety services to support the next generation,” says Miller.
