Habitat for Humanity, State Farm Team Up For Company’s Founder’s Day

State Farm recently celebrated its 102nd anniversary with a week full of Founder’s Day activities. The insurance company started back on June 7, 1922 in Bloomington, Illinois.

Over 50 State Farm employees, agents and agent team members across Middle Tennessee took this celebration to heart last week (June 4-8) and volunteered nearly 300 hours with six local Habitat for Humanity partnering organizations.

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville, Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, Habitat for Humanity of Sumner County, Habitat for Humanity Williamson-Maury, Rutherford County Area Habitat for Humanity and Upper Cumberland Habitat for Humanity were the benefactors of this volunteer assistance. Activities varied from on-site build days to assembly of shed panels to assistance in ReStore locations.

In addition, State Farm donated $140,000 in grant funding across these six organizations to assist with current home build projects in Clarksville, Columbia, Cookeville, Gallatin, Murfreesboro and Nashville.
