Hattie Jane’s Creamery to reopen scoop shops on Wednesday

Hattie Jane’s Creamery will be reopening its locations in Murfreesboro and Columbia, Tenn. on Wednesday, April 29 in response to Governor Lee’s decision allowing Tennessee restaurants to welcome back dine-in customers.

Both storefronts will be open Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. As a special treat for customers who have awaited Hattie Jane’s reopening, both locations will be offering $5 milkshakes all day on Wednesday. For ice cream aficionados outside of the Murfreesboro and Columbia areas, Hattie Jane’s ice cream pints remain available for takeout and curbside pickup orders from Scout’s Pub and Puckett’s Gro. & Restaurant in Franklin.

During this initial reopening phase, all Hattie Jane’s employees will continue to prioritize heightened health and safety measures for customers’ well-being. Such practices include requiring staff members to wear masks and gloves at all times, marking 6-foot distances where the line forms, and sanitizing frequently touched items and surfaces with extra vigilance.

“As a brand born and raised in Tennessee, we love the local communities of which we are a part and have looked forward to serving and delighting our customers once again,” Claire Crowell, Founder and Co-Owner of Hattie Jane’s, said. “During this uncertain time, we are excited to be back in action and bring a little joy to everyday life.”

While its locations were temporarily closed, Hattie Jane’s went on the road with its ice cream truck for neighborhood pop-up events. Customers who preordered pints online could pick up their orders in communities throughout Murfreesboro, Columbia and Franklin. After taking a short break to focus on reopening, Hattie Jane’s plans to continue these pop-ups through springtime and welcomes neighborhood requests.
