Informational Open House for Expansion and Update of City Core Overlay

The City of Murfreesboro Planning Department will hold an informational open house on the update and expansion of the City Core Overlay Zoning District, Tuesday, February 19, 2019, from 6 to 8 p.m.

The information session will be held in the rotunda on the first floor of City Hall, 111 West Vine Street in Murfreesboro. The format of the meeting is come and go, with information stations. Staff will be available to answer any questions concerning the expansion and update of the City Core Overlay, Zoning District. All interested business owners, developers, and citizens are encouraged to attend.

The City Core Overlay Zoning District expansion will ensure stronger contextual development within its boundaries. The area covered by the current City Core Overlay Zoning District will be expanded. Text for the City Core Overlay has been rewritten and updated to reflect the visions set forth in the North Highlands and Historic Bottoms small area studies.
