The male driver of the other car, a Nissan Rogue, was taken to Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital. He is listed in stable condition.

The preliminary investigation revealed the driver of the Rogue was traveling westbound when it collided with the Mazda that was trying to make a left turn onto Middle Tennessee Blvd. Investigators are trying to determine if speed was a contributing factor into the crash.

The force of the impact caused the Mazda to crash into a car parked in a parking lot.

The fatal crash remains under investigation.
