J Scott Homan obituary
J Scott Homan, age 56 of Murfreesboro, Tennessee stepped into the presence of the Lord on 13 December 2019. He grew up in a military family and lived in numerous states as a child. He finished high school in Austin, Tx and attended college at Stephen F Austin in Nacogdoches, Texas.
Shortly after, he began a career in entertainment as a standup comic and writer for the next 25 years. He traveled and performed in 47 of the 50 states during that time span. He was a free spirit with a natural wit and infectious smile and laugh. He was indeed born to bring joy and laughter into this world. He will be sorely missed by friends and family alike. The world has indeed lost a shining star in these troubled times.
Scott is survived by his mother, Gale Bailey of Murfreesboro, father and stepmother, Edward and Sheila Homan of Cincinnati, OH, sister Denise Ott and husband Jim of Austin,TX, brother Jesse Homan and wife Laine of Cincinnati, OH, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A visitation will be held between 12 PM until 2 PM on Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel for friends and family followed with a time for sharing their favorite Scott memories for those who wish to do so.
