Jackson Heights Plaza Update

Big changes are happening at Jackson Heights Plaza in Murfreesboro! Located off Broad Street near Toot’s and Liberty Station, this shopping center is about to see a major transformation. Around 8 – 9 local businesses are being asked to move out by the end of the month to make way for what’s rumored to be a new AutoZone-style parts and service center which will be the first of its kind in Tennessee.

This new concept will combine retail, warehouse, and manufacturing/storage all in one. While the building itself will remain mostly unchanged, plans include some landscaping updates and a new elevated sidewalk to support auto services like battery and wiper installations.

While it’s unclear where most of the current businesses are relocating, Scoopy’s is reportedly hoping to reopen somewhere else in Murfreesboro (fingers crossed, because who doesn’t love ice cream?! 🍦).
