James Eugene Reed Obituary

James Eugene Reed, age 82 of Smyrna died Thursday November 7, 2019. He was a native of Cannon County and was preceded in death by his great-grandchildren, Henry Franklin Forrest and Samuel Michael Forrest; his parents, Doke Reed and Nodie Pelham Reed. Mr. Reed was a member of Southside Church of Christ and was veteran of the United States Army. He was a retired Contractor.

Mr. Reed is survived by his wife of 49 years, Geneva Reed; daughter, Donna Patterson and husband Mike in Oklahoma; grandchildren, Chris Patterson of Oklahoma, Julie Forrest and husband Peter of Oklahoma, great-grandchildren, Jack, Luke and Ruby Forrest.

Visitation will be 1PM until 4PM with Funeral Service 4PM Sunday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Brother, Bro. Mike Pickford will officiate.
