James Williams obituary

James Warren Williams, 87, of Murfreesboro passed away November 21, 2018. He was born September 6, 1931 in Davidson County but lived most of his life in Rutherford and Cannon Counties. He attended school in Eagleville, then finished his education in Murfreesboro and graduated from Central High in 1950. He joined the Air Force in 1951 and served in Japan and Korea. He returned to Murfreesboro in 1954 after leaving the service and went to work at State Farm Insurance where he met his wife. He later retired from State Farm and moved to Cannon County where he ran a business and farmed. He retired from farming in 1992 and returned to Murfreesboro. His parents were Albert Mitchell and Cora Ralston Williams. He was survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara Ann DuVal Williams, a son Robert Williams, and a daughter Virginia Williams both of Murfreesboro.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday, November 24th , 2018 at Woodfin Memorial Chapel after 1:00 PM. Graveside Services will follow at 2:00 PM at Evergreen Cemetery.
