James Wilson obituary

James Earl Wilson, age 87 of Murfreesboro passed away October 31, 2018. He was a native of Murfreesboro and the son of the late Jessie and Emma Pate Wilson, and was preceded in death by a brother, J.B. Wilson.

Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife of 63 years. Jean Eaton Wilson; sister, Elizabeth Ann White of College Grove; brother, Larney Ray Wilson and wife Wanda of Murfreesboro; special niece, Jessica Faye Hesson of Murfreesboro.

Mr. Wilson was a member of Kingwood Church of Christ, and was a graduate of Eagleville High School in 1950. Mr. Wilson loved gardening, fishing, and traveling. Mr. Wilson retired from Bell South and was a veteran of the United States Army.

Funeral service will be 2PM Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Bro. Doug Hutchins, Bro. Jeff Brown, Chuck Mullins, Richard Lyles will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Paul McCurley, Kenneth Baltimore, Larney Ray Wilson, Junior Neal, Mark Eaton, and Randy Eaton. Honorary Pallbearer will be, Charlie Barrett, Toney Dugger, Don Sharp, Ronnie Dembram, John Richards, Walter Lowe. Visitation will be 4PM to 7PM Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel www.woodfinchapel.com
