Jane Barton Obituary

Mrs. Jane T. Barton, age 85 of Murfreesboro, TN passed peacefully on February 16, 2024 in Franklin, TN. She was born in Kezar Falls, ME to the late Frank Towle and Louise Milliken Towle. Mrs. Barton was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church in Murfreesboro, a loyal Blue Raider basketball fan, and an avid golfer and bridge player. She was a successful realtor for many years and a member of the Charity Circle. Mrs. Barton was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved to laugh and dance with her husband and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.

Mrs. Barton is survived by children, Gary Barton and his wife Christie, Heather Ross and her husband Byron, and Andrea Lane and her husband Brian; grandchildren, Hughes Barton, Sarah Jane Leonard and her husband Lance, Thomas Farmer and his wife Raylin, Adeline Farmer, Lydia Black and her husband Grant, Harrison Lane and his wife Autumn, and Henry Lane; great grandchildren, Hudson, T, and Cannon Farmer; sisters, Martha Rogers and her husband Ward and Mary Boyd and her husband Bill; special friends, Jane and Jerry Campbell; as well as a host of other loving family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Gary I. Barton; son, Adam Barton; and brother, Frank Towle.

Visitation with the family will be Monday, February 19, 2024 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 19, 2024 at 1:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
