La Vergne police set up DUI checkpoints ahead of New Year’s Eve

As folks prepare to ring in the new year, the La Vergne Police Department is preparing to keep the streets of La Vergne safe.

Officers will be setting up sobriety checkpoints in the area of Murfreesboro Road starting at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 29th. They will be checking for impaired drivers until 2:00 a.m.

The intent of this checkpoint is to encourage sober designated drivers. The public is encouraged to help keep roadways safe by calling 911 if they see a suspected impaired driver.
