Lessie Jackson obituary

Lessie V. Jackson, age 101 of Murfreesboro, passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2018. She was a native of Marshall County, MS and the daughter of the late Richard and Hattie Johnson Jenkins. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, William Earl Henry, Doyle Blankenship, Clarence Jackson, sisters, Florence Smith, Ida Mae Teasler, brothers, Gilbert, Richard and Eugene Jenkins, sons, James Henry, Sr and Harold Henry, son-in-law, Jim Highland.

Funeral service will be 2:00pm Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Tom Henry and Steve Hutson will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

She is survived by her daughter, Patsy R. Highland of Murfreesboro, son, Tom G. Henry (JoAnn) of Lebanon, grandchildren, Deborah Hicks (Perry), James Henry, Jr. (Angie), Pam Burke (Chris), Tammy Patterson, Amy Williams (Tim), Karen Fritch (James), Brenda Henry, Linda Holmes (James), Sandra Kaney (Chuck), Janie Vardaman, Billy Henry, Chad Clay (Robyn) and Nikki Baxter, numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other loving family members.

Mrs. Jackson was a member of Third Baptist Church and a retired Nursing Assistant with Community Health Services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Third Baptist Church, 410 W McKnight Dr, Murfreesboro, TN 37129.
