Main Street Murfreesboro Launches Monthly “Biscuits & Business” Networking Series
Main Street Murfreesboro kicked off its first monthly Biscuits & Business meeting, a new networking opportunity created exclusively for Main Street members and downtown businesses to connect, collaborate, and support one another.
The inaugural gathering was hosted at The Urban Social, where local downtown business owners came together for a casual morning focused on relationship building and shared experiences. Attendees enjoyed ham and biscuits from The Hamery, while Sanders Bros. Coffee, a longtime Murfreesboro Saturday Market vendor, provided the coffee for the event.
The monthly series is designed to strengthen connections within the downtown business community and provide a consistent space for meaningful conversation.
The Urban Social is owned by Jeremy and his wife, Kellie, who were proud to host the first meeting.
“It’s important for small businesses to get together and network because we can’t do this alone,” said Jeremy. “Unlike large corporations, we don’t have panels, boards, or committees to support us. As small business owners, we have to support one another, and that starts with coming together.”
Main Street Murfreesboro’s Executive Director, Sarah Callender, emphasized the importance of intentional connection among downtown businesses.
“Main Street Murfreesboro is built on connection. Biscuits and Business gives downtown business owners a space to support one another, build relationships, and grow together, because a healthy downtown starts with healthy connections.”
Biscuits & Business will continue on a monthly basis, rotating among downtown locations and remaining a members-focused opportunity to build relationships and strengthen the downtown business community.
