Medical Center Parkway widening project Phase 2
We’re three for three on major updates this week, and today we’re talking about Phase 2 of the Medical Center Parkway widening project. This $6.4 million project kicks off in September and will stretch from Thompson Lane to the Fountains of Gateway.
What’s happening:
- Adding one lane in each direction
- New turning lanes for better traffic flow
- Traffic light upgrades along the route
This is the second of three phases:
1️⃣ Phase 1 (Thompson Ln → I-24) ✅ Complete
2️⃣ Phase 2 (Thompson Ln → Fountains of Gateway) 🚧 Starting Sept. 2025
3️⃣ Phase 3 (Fountains of Gateway → Broad St.) ⏳ Coming later
The full project is expected to wrap up by early 2026.
